Richard Coldicutt is a visual artist based in Fremantle Western Australia.

As a painter Richard works and teaches across a number of mediums including; drawing, watercolour, acrylic and oils. His sculptural commissions both private and public occupy a number of prominent Civic spaces in Perth Western Australia.

Over the past 20 years Richard has lectured and researched at Curtin University and the University of Western Australia  and has recently completed a PhD exploring the representation of contemporary body culture. The thesis is entitled The Beach as an Erogenous Zone: Figuring Through Painting and is published online through the Curtin University website.  

Other  visual research presented on this website include a series of Bodyscapes that explore obscenity within sexualised landscapes. This is an extension to an investigation undertaken in a post-graduate Masters in Creative Arts (Research) Degree completed in 2000.
